For the end of the summer season, Progresivna Suza team, with support of the Balance organization from Croatia, has prepared for you a slightly different concept of the Progressive Tales party that you used to see. We present to you Progressive Island – Levan, where DJ Ruby will perform for the first time on September 3rd, with the support of great artists from Serbia: Lukai, Hobin Rude, Igor D., host Jasmin b2b Nenad Nikolić.
The event will be held at Beach Bar Sunshine on the Levan island, which is located in the south of Istria in the town of Medulin, and is recognizable as an uninhabited island with a beautiful sandy beach.
Transportation to the island is organized by boat that departs from the Medulin waterfront in front of Vetrenjača, at three times: 5:00 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and the last departure at 8:00 p.m and return from the island is planned on Sunday from 09:00.
DJ Ruby is one of the most profilic underground dance music artists that loomed from the island of Malta, amassing a huge fan base that follows him unconditionally, as well as an established name throughout the global dance music industry, mainly in progressive scene. He now boasts nearly 30 years of experience, which has obtained him countless achievements and acclaim which are impossible to mention all in a few lines.
Over the years, DJ Ruby’s diary has formed to be more like an atlas, performing regularly in clubs all over the world; India, Ibiza, Mexico, Russia, Germany, Egypt, Jordan, Netherlands, Thailand, Australia, Italy, Dubai, USA & Hong Kong, just to name a very few. He was also included in the line-ups of notorious festivals such as Timewarp, Ozora, Transmission, Berlin’s Love Parade, Creamfields Malta, and Tomorrowland Unite. In 2021, DJ Ruby performed for the first time in Serbia at the Belgrade summer club Barutana.
As a music producer, DJ Ruby holds a vast discography of his own productions, remixes and 2 albums. Many of his tracks were supported by the planet’s leading DJs, and also made it into the charts of multiple digital outlets such as Beatport and Traxsource. As a promoter, in recent years he managed to make the progressive house scene bloom again in Malta. This is mostly thanks to his yearly warehouse event project partnership with Guy J, the Secret Series concept, Open to Close shows, and the regular Ruby&friends parties which already featured respected players such as Cid Inc, Stereo Underground, Jeremy Olander, Miss Monique, Subandrio, Golan Zocher & Emi Galvan. With an impressive biography that can be nearly infinite, DJ Ruby has earned a well-deserved reputation that can be only summarised into one word: legend!
Luka Ivanović Lukai made his first contact with electronic music through drum’n’bass, under the great influence of the British team LTJ Bukem, Goldie, Big Bud. During the nights spent in clubbing, he discovered the power of techno and progressive music, which had a strong influence on the formation of his musical taste.
He found his place behind the DJ booth in 2012, when he started organizing Belgrade Lounge parties. Two club seasons later, Lukai started to accelerate and got frequent bookings, where he played alongside world names such as: Henry Saiz, Guy J, Cid Inc, Nick Warren, Dmitry Molosh, Petar Dundov and others.
Today you can find him at parties organized by Progresivna Suza, as well as at the desks of clubs like Barutana, DOT, Half, 25th Bar and KPTM.
Hobin Rude is a 24 year old Serbian progressive house DJ & Music Producer based in Belgrade. As an embodiment of passion and dedication, Hobin managed to gain an impressive foothold in the worldwide Progressive scene within a short amount of time. Having succeeded to sign and release tracks with worlds prestigious and well known record labels such as The Soundgarden, Plattenbank, Mango Alley, Hoomidaas, Sound Avenue, Manual, onedotsixtwo, Freegrant Music, Balkan Connection and so on, he managed to get the support from worlds biggest artists like: Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Guy Mantzur, Armen Miran, Solarstone, Gabriel & Dresden, Nora En Pure, Antrim, Nicolas Rada, Fernando Ferreyra, DJ Ruby just to name a few. His releases are often ranked in the top 100 on Beatport.
If you ask him about big gigs he had, he will say that he played from the entire Balkan region all the way to Malta and Pakistan, performing alongside artists such as Guy J, Roy Rosenfeld, Alex O’Rion, Tim Green, DJ Ruby, Navar, Volen Sentir, Coeus, Jorgio Kioris, Tash and with all the famous DJs of Serbia’s underground clubbing scene.
IGOR D. is a guy who is a true lover of Progressive House Music. He is on the scene since 2008 and during that time he has performed with big names such as Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, Guy Mantzur, Dave Seaman, Marcelo Vasami, East Cafe, Finnebassen, Marcus Worgull, Mak Demand, Jelly For The Babies, DJ Acim, etc.
Igor D. is also one of the hosts of the Progressive Tales Podcast, where you can hear famous artists of Progressive House from all over the world. His greatest achievements so far are certainly performing in Barutana, Deviant Deep Nights with Dave Seaman 2018 (Tash Machine Club organized by Deviant Deep Sound), Exit Festival 2015, Sabac Summer Festival, DOT Club, half, TOP Club (Slovenia).
Jasmin and Nenad Nikolić will be in charge of a light introduction to the party, which starts at 06:00p.m. and will last until the early morning hours.
Tickets will be on sale on the day of the event at a price of HRK 150/20 euros (which includes boat transportation and a party ticket) when boarding the boat that will take you to the Levan island.
