Nearly four decades into his storied career, UK electronic pioneer Nick Warren is set to release his first-ever solo album, ‘Turbulence’. The record will arrive on September 16th, 2025, via his own imprint, The Soundgarden.
A landmark moment in Warren’s journey, ‘Turbulence’ reflects the depth of his lifelong influences—ranging from Jean-Michel Jarre and Tangerine Dream, to Bristol’s rich dub heritage, the sonic explorations of labels like 4AD and Factory, and his passion for soundtracks and rare vinyl.

“I’m so excited to let you know that my first solo album, ‘Turbulence,’ will be out next month on The Soundgarden,” Warren shared. “There are four collaborations on the album with Mercurio, Tripswitch, Nicolas Rada, and Mattias Herrera. The first single, ‘Turbulence,’ is out today, alongside a fantastic remix from Boys’ Short.”
Globally celebrated as one half of Way Out West and renowned for his defining mixes on Global Underground, Balance, Renaissance, and Back to Mine, Warren has long been a central figure in electronic music. With ‘Turbulence’, he presents his most personal and ambitious project to date.
