AlphaTheta has officially introduced its latest flagship player, the CDJ-3000X, setting a new standard for professional DJ gear. Building on the legacy of the iconic CDJ-3000 (released in 2020), the new model comes loaded with next-generation features: seamless online access, stronger connectivity, improved durability, and enhanced sound quality.
Always Connected
One of the biggest updates is connectivity. The CDJ-3000X supports cloud storage and streaming services, making it easier than ever to access your library on the fly. With built-in Wi-Fi and an NFC touchpoint on the front panel, DJs can instantly connect to their music by simply tapping a smartphone — no LAN cable required. (Note: a rekordbox Creative or Professional subscription is needed to unlock CloudDirectPlay.)
Bigger Screen, Smarter Workflow
The new 10.1-inch touchscreen — the largest on any AlphaTheta player — offers a more intuitive browsing experience, with up to 16 tracks displayed at once. A USB-C port has also been added, expanding compatibility with modern storage devices and speeding up transfers.
Refined Controls
Performance has been tightened with a jog wheel that features a wider tension range, giving DJs more precise control. The play and cue buttons have also been rebuilt for long-term reliability — rated to withstand over 500,000 more presses than the previous generation.
Sound Quality That Stands Out
AlphaTheta promises a serious leap in audio quality with the 3000X. A new high-performance DAC and redesigned power supply deliver sound that’s both punchy and crystal clear. Bass is deeper, noise is reduced, and improvements in channel separation and frequency response mean your mix cuts through with detail and power — perfect for high-end club systems.
Smarter Features for DJs
The player also adds quality-of-life improvements like on-device playlist editing, a copy-and-paste function for faster browsing, and support for the Universal DJ Library. This system lets DJs use USBs exported from not only rekordbox, but also djay Pro and Traktor Pro 4, bringing more flexibility to multi-software workflows.

Availability
The CDJ-3000X is available now, priced at £2,399. AlphaTheta has also released a teaser video showcasing the new player.
This release follows a busy period for AlphaTheta: in July they launched the ChordCat portable groovebox, and earlier this year they partnered with SanDisk to develop an official rekordbox USB stick. Last October, the company also introduced the DDJ-FLX2 controller and the flagship all-in-one XDJ-AZ.
